The Anxiety of Online Orders

This is going to be a short post because I hope to post a review of the every book I have received in the mail yesterday once I am confident of writing a review on it.

After completing my teaching internship and receiving my salary, I decided that I should reward myself by buying a book I had always wanted to own, Les Miserables.

The 2012 film led me to watching the 25th anniversary and 10th anniversary concerts, and scenes from the 1998 films, some well-written fanfiction, and it is only right that I read the full version of the novel because I already own an abridged version which I have read a few times over.

The book was too thick for me to feel happy borrowing it from the library because I was certain that I may never return it once I was done reading. I do form spiritual connections with the books I read in ways incomprehensible by someone who has, alas, failed to see the allure of books and reading.

So, I called up the local bookstore and realised that the book was priced at $42.

I am not a full time employee and thus feel really guilty if I spend so much of money on a single book. I decided that I should try out bookdepository again.

And so I did.

And I waited for the email telling me that my book was dispatched.

That arrived on the 26th of August.

So, now began my wait for my new friend to arrive in the mail.

I waited and I waited and I was becoming frustrated.

And then, just as I was thinking of contacting bookdepository, I decided to check my mail again and found a nice looking parcel.

It had arrived!

A nice, small weight in my hands which I cannot wait to begin to read,
A nice, small weight in my hands which I cannot wait to begin to read.

I hope to take this journey into the tumultuous world of 19th century France, chronicling it in this website of mine.

So, do keep an eye on this page and I will do my best to begin this exciting journey as soon as essays and exams are no longer my biggest concern.

So, for now, we shall wait until this day.
